Spooky season has officially begun.
The Devil's Oven is a sea cave in Acadia National Park that lies along the shoreline of Mount Desert Island. It is said to be a gateway to the underworld. Legend has it that evil people were once burned alive here as part of ancient rituals. After which, their souls would be sucked into the underworld. Nighttime visitors have seen flashing lights coming from the cave, while daytime guests have heard cries and chanting.Are you afraid of the park?
